Our story.

GarageHub started in 2023, mostly because I was tired. Tired of trying out ill-fitted spaces, and tired of getting politely bounced from eateries and pubs for staying an hour too long with my laptop. I understood the frustration most professionals feel all too well: setting up a private office — rent, internet bills, furniture, facility management, routine maintenance — costs far too much to justify. What I really wanted was a place I could simply subscribe to, where everything was already sorted. The problem was that almost nothing like it existed in the satellite towns around Abuja. So I decided to build it, for everyone else in my shoes.

The Academy actually came first. It began back in 2018 as a Tech Leadership Bootcamp I organized in Uyo, with one mission: to decentralize tech education in Nigeria. We graduated seven people from that first cohort. Today, GarageHub Academy has grown into a tech career-transition program, where people enroll to build foundational skills or upskill in Web Development, Branding, UI/UX Design, and Artificial Intelligence. Lessons are hybrid — part online, part live — and designed to shape system thinkers, not just tech artisans
The Property Desk came last, born from a different kind of frustration: the lack of transparency in Abuja's real estate market. We exist to change that. We help low- and middle-income earners invest in verified estate properties, with competitive payment installments for those earning steadily. And we manage the transaction end to end, so every customer is protected from any foul play by developers — though honestly, it rarely comes to that. We vet and profile the developers we work with just as carefully as we vet their properties.
We're still small enough to know every member by name. We intend to stay that way for as long as we can.
